Project Surya to Train Anakapalli Women for Green Careers
Project Surya is a new training programme in Anakapalli district.
ReNew and the district administration are working together on it.
About 300 women and young people will learn about solar power and other clean-energy technologies.
They will also learn how to operate and maintain renewable-energy equipment.
ReNew will provide teachers, lessons, materials, and tests.

ReNew and the Anakapalli district administration signed a three-year agreement to implement Project Surya.
The pilot will train around 300 women and young people from Anakapalli in solar energy, renewable technologies, and operations and maintenance.
ReNew will provide the curriculum, trainers, materials, assessments, candidate screening, and training oversight.
The district administration will mobilise candidates and provide training facilities and essential amenities.
ReNew is investing ₹4,200 crore in a 6.5 GW solar ingot and wafer facility in Anakapalli, as part of an approximately ₹82,000 crore Andhra Pradesh commitment.
