Hyderabad Realtor Subhash Reddy Booked for Plot Fraud
A man in India who sells land is in trouble with the police.
His name is Subhash Reddy, and he lives in a city called Hyderabad.
Many people bought pieces of land, called plots, from him.
In 2019, the government said it needed that land to build a very big water canal.
The canal is called the Kaleshwaram canal.
Even though he knew the land would be taken away, he kept selling plots in 2020.
Buyers also say he took government money that was meant to pay for the land.
When buyers asked him about it, he promised to give them different plots in the same area.
But he kept delaying and never kept his promise.
So the buyers complained to the police, who are now looking into what happened.
Subhash Reddy, a realtor from Chintal in Hyderabad, was booked for allegedly cheating plot buyers in Medchal district.
He illegally developed SR Venture at Gudemgadda Thanda and sold multiple plots to buyers.
In 2019, the government issued a notification that the venture land would be acquired for the Kaleshwaram canal.
Despite the notification, he allegedly continued selling plots throughout 2020 and also illegally received government compensation for the acquired land.
Victims lodged a complaint on August 6, prompting Medchal police to register a case and commence an investigation.
