Delhi Reports 98 Dengue Cases in October’s First Week
Delhi reported 98 new dengue cases during the first week of October.
That brings the number of dengue cases recorded this year to 695.
The city also reported 23 malaria cases in October so far.
September had the most dengue and malaria cases in any month this year.
Two new chikungunya cases were reported in October, bringing that disease’s total to 29 for the year.
No deaths from these three diseases have been reported in Delhi in 2026 so far.
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi says it is working to control mosquitoes across the city.
Its workers have visited more than 3.18 crore homes this year to look for mosquito breeding.
