Government Establishes Three New NIA Courts to Expedite Anti-Terror Trials
The government has created three special courts to handle certain anti-terrorism cases.
These courts are in Visakhapatnam, Jaipur and Patna.
They will hear cases investigated by the National Investigation Agency.
The courts will focus on scheduled offences, including cases under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
The goal is to finish these cases more quickly.
The government had earlier told the Supreme Court that every state and Union territory should have a dedicated NIA court.
States with more than 10 pending cases could receive additional courts.
Each court will get money for buildings, technology, vehicles and staff.

Each exclusive court is to receive Rs 1 crore for one-time costs and Rs 1 crore annually for recurring expenses.
