Two foreign nationals held at India-Nepal border in separate cases
Police caught two people near the border between India and Nepal.
The first person was a man from Somalia, a country in Africa.
He told police he was a student, but his passport had expired.
Police thought his behaviour was suspicious.
They took his mobile phone, some money, and his documents.
The second person was a woman from Thailand.
Her phone had pictures of fake Indian identity cards, like an Aadhaar card and a Voter ID.
Police think the woman used a different name on these fake documents.
She lives in India with her husband and two children.
Police are still investigating both cases.
A Somali national was detained by Motihari Police and the Sashastra Seema Bal near the India-Nepal border in Bihar after his movements were found suspicious.
The man claimed to be a student of Nizam College in Hyderabad, but officials found that his passport had expired.
Authorities seized a mobile phone, Rs 25,000 in Indian currency, and other documents from the detained man.
In a separate case, Thai national Chon Chutichiraphat was apprehended at the Sonauli immigration office in Maharajganj district, Uttar Pradesh.
She was allegedly found carrying forged Indian identity documents on her phone, including digital copies of an Aadhaar card, Voter ID, and PAN card, and a case was registered.
