PMC Installs Floodlights, CCTV For Pune Ganesh Immersion Safety
The Pune Municipal Corporation is getting ready for Ganesh immersion processions on September 25 and 26.
It has placed many bright lights at immersion locations.
About 1,530 floodlights are being used at around 277 places.
Cameras will watch 14 sites and nearby areas.
Generators are available if the electricity stops working.
Electrical workers will stay on duty throughout the immersion period.
Security staff, lifeguards and first-aid teams will help people near the water.
Citizens have been asked not to touch wires, panels or light poles.
The Pune Municipal Corporation has prepared electrical and safety arrangements for Ganesh immersion processions on September 25 and 26.
Nearly 1,530 floodlights have been deployed at around 277 locations across the city.
About 390 CCTV cameras have been installed at 14 immersion sites and sensitive locations.
Backup generators and round-the-clock Electrical Department staff have been arranged to address power or technical disruptions.
Security personnel, lifeguards and first-aid teams will remain on duty near ghats and water bodies, while citizens have been urged to follow safety guidelines.
