Kalyan-Dombivli Ganesh Visarjan Ends Peacefully After 16,666 Idol Immersions
Ganesh idols were immersed in water across Kalyan-Dombivli on Tuesday.

Some idols were made from Shadu clay, while others were made from Plaster of Paris.
Doctors, nurses and ambulances were placed at major immersion sites.

Religious offerings collected after immersion were sent for composting.
A total of 16,666 Ganesh idols were immersed across Kalyan-Dombivli by Tuesday night.
The immersed idols included 5,887 Shadu clay idols and 10,779 Plaster of Paris idols.
Medical teams, ambulances, boats, lifebuoys, life jackets and trained divers supported immersion-site safety.
Authorities deployed 236 CCTV cameras, 12 drones, 2,653 LED lights and 115 lighting towers.
Around 39.2 tonnes of religious offerings were sent to a Dombivli composting facility.
