Raj Thackeray Says PM Photo Cannot Share Row With Icons
‘PM can’t be in same row as Shivaji, Ambedkar, Phule’: Raj Thackeray · indianexpress.com

Raj Thackeray said a photograph of the Prime Minister should not be placed next to three important figures from Maharashtra’s history.

These figures are Shivaji Maharaj, Jyotirao Phule and B R Ambedkar.

He said they have a special place in the state’s history.

Thackeray said the Prime Minister’s photograph can still be shown in government offices.

He only objected to placing it in the same row as the three icons.

His comments followed the removal of a Modi photograph at a Pune polytechnic institute.
