Delhi Police arrest five in Rs 12 crore heroin-MDMA seizure
Police officers in Delhi caught five people who are accused of selling illegal drugs.
The drugs they found are called heroin and MDMA.
One suspect was caught carrying a black shoulder bag filled with drugs.
The drugs are worth about 12 crore rupees, which is a very large amount of money.
Police think the five people worked together as a team to buy, store and sell drugs across Delhi and nearby cities.
Three of the accused came from other countries, like Nigeria and Ghana.
One of them stayed in India after his visa expired, which means he no longer had permission to be there.
A few of the arrested people had been in trouble with the police for drugs before.
The police are now looking for more people who may have been part of the same team.
Delhi Police arrested five alleged drug traffickers, including three foreign nationals, in an interstate syndicate bust in Delhi-NCR.
Police recovered 2.554 kg of heroin and 881 grams of MDMA, worth around Rs 12 crore, along with 11 mobile phones.
Nigerian national Moris Okalie (52) was caught in Shahdara carrying 2.004 kg of heroin and 863 grams of MDMA on the night of July 19-20.
Emmanuel, Samuel, Sameer and Lady were arrested in subsequent operations on July 23 and July 31 from Chander Vihar, Ghaziabad and Paschim Vihar.
Police said Okalie's Indian visa had expired and he was overstaying, and several other accused had prior cases, including under the NDPS Act.
