Maxvolt Energy Begins ₹700-Crore Battery Facility In Aligarh
Maxvolt Energy is building a large battery factory in Aligarh, India.
The project will cost ₹700 crore.
The factory will be built in two stages, with each stage making 5 GWh of batteries every year.
When finished, it will help Maxvolt make 10 GWh of batteries annually at the new site.
The batteries can be used in electric scooters, three-wheelers and cars.
They can also support electricity storage, telecom systems and backup power.
The company expects the project to create thousands of jobs.
Maxvolt says the factory is being built because many industries need more batteries.
Maxvolt Energy has started work on a ₹700-crore battery manufacturing facility in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.
The plant will be built across nearly six acres in two phases, with 5 GWh of annual capacity planned for each phase.
Once complete, the facility will add 10 GWh annually, taking Maxvolt’s planned total capacity to 12.5 GWh with its Duhai plant.
The facility will produce batteries for electric two-, three- and four-wheelers, energy storage, telecom infrastructure and power backup systems.
The project is expected to create 1,500–2,000 direct jobs and up to 10,000 indirect employment opportunities.
