Hare Krishna Golden Temple Sets September 4 Janmashtami Celebrations
The Hare Krishna Movement–Hyderabad is holding a special celebration for Sri Krishna Janmashtami.
It will happen on September 4 at the Hare Krishna Golden Temple in Banjara Hills.
Visitors can see four decorated forms of Lord Krishna.
They can also take part in a devotional swing ceremony called Jhulan or Unjala Seva.
The programme includes prayers, a fire ceremony and many bathing ceremonies for the deities.
Devotees will offer 56 kinds of food in an event called Chappan Bhog.
At night, Sri Radha Govinda will receive a special bathing ceremony using 108 pots.
The celebration will end with Maha Mangala Arati at midnight, along with cultural programmes for students and visitors.

The programme includes Shringara Arati, Sri Narasimha Homa, several abhishekams, Chappan Bhog and Raja Bhoga Arati.
A special abhishekam for Sri Radha Govinda using 108 Kalashas will begin at 10:30 p.m., followed by Maha Mangala Arati at midnight.
Cultural activities will include the Hare Krishna Challenge, Krishna Kids, Japa Club, and traditional dance and music programmes.
