Government Special Campaign Resolves 2,306 Long-Pending Pension Grievances
The government ran a special campaign to solve old pension complaints.
It operated from July 7 to August 31.
Officials resolved 2,306 complaints, which was 72 per cent of the cases covered.
Many of the people helped lived in rural areas.
They submitted complaints online through the CPENGRAMS portal and other government portals.
The campaign first identified cases that needed attention and then followed up with government departments.
One disabled dependent daughter received ₹16.70 lakh in family pension arrears.
Another pensioner received ₹30 lakh in disability pension arrears.
The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare redressed 2,306 long-pending pension grievances during Special Campaign 3.
The campaign ran from July 7 to August 31 and achieved a 72 per cent resolution rate.
Officials identified 1,062 target cases and 2,131 cases pending on the CPENGRAMS portal for more than one month.
Most resolved grievances involved pensioners and family pensioners living in rural areas, according to the ministry.
Notable settlements included ₹16.70 lakh in family pension arrears and ₹30 lakh in disability pension arrears.
