He praised businessman Govind Dholakia for helping build temples and schools in South Gujarat.

Shah said Prime Minister Narendra Modi wanted Dholakia to join the Rajya Sabha.

He also praised Savji Dholakia for helping restore 208 lakes.

The event opened a large water reservoir called the Gujarat Gaurav Sarovar.

The reservoir can hold 400 million litres of water.

Shah said it will help farmers, people who need drinking water and underground water supplies.

He also said efforts had helped Gujarat become drought-free.
