Investigators are trying to follow where that money went.

They reportedly found that jewellery worth about Rs 26 lakh was bought for a woman linked to IAS officer Gyanendra Kumar.

The purchase allegedly happened at a jewellery shop in Bengaluru.

Investigators have reportedly collected the receipt and CCTV footage from the shop.

They are also checking bank accounts held in other people’s names.

One account under the name Basavaraj is being examined.

The woman was questioned but reportedly denied being connected to the recruitment scam.
