Delhi University Plans Over 5,000 New Hostel Seats Amid Demand
The University of Delhi is building more places for students to live.
This is happening because many students come to Delhi from other places and need affordable housing.
The university currently has 3,422 hostel seats.
It expects to add 3,922 more seats through ongoing projects.
Colleges connected to the university also plan to add 1,622 seats.

Major projects include a 1,450-seat Institute of Eminence hostel, a 1,000-seat women’s hostel and a 1,050-seat studio apartment complex.
