Rajasthan Governor urges collective action for drug-free India

The Governor of Rajasthan, a leader of an Indian state, went to a university in the town of Banswara.

He spoke at a big meeting about making India free from drugs.

He said drugs are being used to weaken the country's young people.

He told everyone to help friends who are addicted and to tell the police about people who sell drugs.

He warned that driving after taking drugs or alcohol can cause accidents that kill young people.

He also asked people to help sick neighbours with tuberculosis get the medical care they need.

He said universities are like temples, and that students are like gods and teachers are like priests.

He explained that good education can end poverty and encouraged tribal students to go to college.

He remembered a tribal leader named Govind Guru who fought against British rule.

At the end, he planted a Khejri tree, which is the state tree of Rajasthan.
