Nepal Floods Sweep Away Bank Safe; 29 Detained
Floodwaters in Nepal carried a heavy bank safe down a river.
The safe came from the Bhotekoshi area of Rasuwa and was found in Dhading.
Police said people broke open the safe and took money from it.
They detained 29 people who are suspected of being involved.
The detainees are between 19 and 49 years old.
Police reported recovering 9,268,505 Nepalese rupees.

In a separate case, two people were arrested after allegedly taking earrings from a flood victim.
Floodwaters carried a bank safe from Rasuwa’s Bhotekoshi area toward the Trishuli River in Dhading.
The safe was found near Belkhukhola in Galchhi Rural Municipality-4.
Police detained 29 people, aged 19 to 49, over alleged theft from the safe.
