Eknath Shinde tells corporators: 'You're not owner of your ward'

In a big state in India, there are people who help run cities and towns.

These people are called corporators.

Recently, some new corporators won elections and got important jobs.

But one corporator got arrested for hurting three doctors.

This made the state's Deputy Chief Minister very concerned.

He held a special training class for the corporators.

He told them they are servants of the city, not owners.

He said voters will remove leaders who act like they own the place.

He also told them to learn from their meetings at the city council.

This was his way of reminding them to be humble and helpful.
