Greenbase Plans ₹2,000 Crore Chennai Industrial Park Expansion
Greenbase wants to build more factories and warehouses around Chennai.
It plans to spend about ₹2,000 crore on this work over the next two or three years.
The new buildings would cover about five million square feet.
One major project will be built on 55 acres at Arani near Red Hills.
A renewable-energy company is expected to be an important customer there.
Greenbase also has a larger plan to build industrial parks in several parts of India.
The company says businesses need modern buildings that meet safety and operating rules.
It is also looking at places such as Coimbatore, Thoothukudi and Hosur for future projects.
Greenbase plans to invest about ₹2,000 crore over two to three years in five million square feet of Chennai industrial and warehousing space.
A 55-acre park at Arani near Red Hills will provide about 1.2 million square feet, with construction expected to begin shortly.
Greenbase’s national Greenbase 2.0 programme targets roughly 9–10 million square feet with an investment of ₹3,400 crore.
The company has acquired or is pursuing land across Chennai and is evaluating Coimbatore, Thoothukudi and Hosur.
Demand is being driven by manufacturing, renewable energy, automotive, electronics, electric vehicles and other industrial sectors.
