Assam Plans State-of-the-Art Wildlife Safari and Rescue Centre in Dibrugarh
Assam plans to build a large wildlife centre in Dibrugarh district.
It will be built in the Namdang Reserved Forest.

The centre will help rescue, treat and care for wild animals.
The first part will have spaces for animals such as tigers, rhinoceroses, leopards and bears.

The Assam government plans to build a Wildlife Safari and Rescue Centre in Dibrugarh district at an estimated cost of Rs 534 crore.
The facility will cover about 235 hectares in Namdang Reserved Forest, roughly 20 km from Dibrugarh town and 30 km from its airport.
The first phase, costing around Rs 259 crore, will include enclosures for tigers, rhinoceroses, leopards and bears.
A veterinary hospital and specialised rescue centre will support the treatment, rehabilitation and management of wild animals.
The second phase, estimated at Rs 275 crore, will include exotic-species enclosures and advanced research facilities.
