Delhi CM Rekha Gupta inaugurates two-lane bridge in East Delhi
The grown-ups who run Delhi opened a brand-new bridge.
The bridge is in East Delhi, in a neighborhood called Kondli.
It has two lanes, so two lines of cars and buses can cross at the same time.
It goes over a big drain and connects Ghazipur to a canal called the Hindon Canal.
People who live nearby had been waiting a very long time for this bridge.
The work had been stopped for six years before the new government fixed the problems and paid the workers.
The new bridge will help many people get to work, school and home faster.
It should also make traffic jams smaller in places like Kalyanpuri and Ghazipur.
Another big road, called the Barapulla flyover, was also finished after ten years of work.
The leader said that better roads make life easier for everyone in Delhi.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated a two-lane slip road bridge from East Delhi's Ghazipur to Hindon Canal, built over a large drain in Kondli.
She was accompanied by Delhi BJP president and Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Harsh Malhotra and PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh.
Gupta said the bridge will make commuting easier for lakhs of people in Kondli, Kalyanpuri, Ghazipur and surrounding areas, reduce traffic pressure and save time.
PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh said the project had been lying incomplete for six years and the BJP government cleared pending issues, including contractor payment, after coming to power.
The Barapulla flyover, under construction for ten years, was also completed and will be inaugurated soon, according to Parvesh Sahib Singh.
