Mahbubnagar Expands Education Volunteer Programme to 100 Members
Yennam Srinivas Reddy started a programme to help students learn and develop.
It is called the Shatashatam programme.
The programme first used 35 volunteers and now has 100.
Volunteers will do more than help with lessons.
They will check attendance, homework, behaviour and interest in studies.
They will tell teachers about students’ strengths and problems.
Digital tools such as animations and digital boards will make lessons more interesting.
Organisers hope the programme will especially help rural students and become a model for other areas.
Government Whip and Mahbubnagar MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy launched the Shatashatam education volunteer programme.
The initiative aims to achieve 100 per cent education and provide students continuous guidance and support.
The programme expanded from 35 volunteers after producing encouraging results to 100 volunteers.
Volunteers will monitor attendance, homework, behaviour, study interests, teacher-instruction compliance and learning difficulties.
3D animations, digital learning, animated books and digital boards will support learning, while women volunteers are expected to improve safety.
