Mahabubnagar Expands Education Volunteer Programme To 100 Volunteers
Mahabubnagar has started a programme to help students do better in school.
The programme is called Shatashatam.
It has 100 education volunteers.
These volunteers will watch students’ attendance, homework and behaviour.
They will also notice whether students are interested in studying or facing problems.
Volunteers will share this information with teachers.
Schools will use tools such as animations, digital books and digital boards to make lessons easier to understand.
The organisers want to strengthen the programme and make it a model for other areas.
Government Whip and MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy launched newly appointed education volunteers under the Shatashatam programme.
The programme was organised with the MLA’s own funds at the District Collectorate on Sunday.
Volunteers will monitor attendance, homework, behaviour, study interest and student difficulties, then share observations with teachers.
Digital tools including 3D animations, animated books and digital boards will support students’ conceptual understanding.
The initiative has expanded from 35 to 100 volunteers after reportedly encouraging initial results.
