Indian Envoy Inaugurates India Corner at Kenya School of Government
A government school in Kenya that trains people who work for the government now has a special corner full of books about India.
The leader of India's team in Kenya, Adarsh Swaika, opened this new corner.
The books were gifts from India and talk about India's history, culture, economy, and growth.
To celebrate, Mr. Swaika planted a Thika Palm tree on the school's grounds.
He also gave a talk called 'Why India Matters for Kenya' to more than 120 government workers.
In the talk, he said India and Kenya both fought to be free from colonial rule.
He explained that India makes many of its own products and uses digital technology to help people.
He said these ideas and tools could be useful for Kenya too.
He asked Kenya and India to work together on healthcare, education, farming, technology, and keeping the ocean safe.
The new corner will help Kenyan students and workers learn more about India and the friendship between the two countries.
