On a Tuesday night in Mumbai, a big fire started in a tall apartment building.

The fire began on the 11th floor of a building called Shanta Bhavan.

Sadly, two people, a little child named Abir and a young woman named Ankita, died.

Eight other people got hurt and needed help.

Firefighters came with eight big fire trucks.

They rescued 15 people who were stuck on the roof of the building.

The fire spread through wires, a sofa, a bed, and other things in one home.

It took firefighters until about 1 am to put out the fire.

Nobody knows yet how the fire started.

Officials say they will investigate to find out the exact cause.
