India to Host Five-Day Global Water Management Event
India will hold a large meeting about water from September 22 to 26, 2026.
The meeting is called the India International Water Week.
Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan will open it in Delhi.
People from governments, universities, businesses and communities will attend.
They will discuss how to protect water supplies as the climate changes.
They will also talk about fair access to water, new technology and ways to fund water projects.
An exhibition will show products and ideas for managing water sustainably.
A separate conference will focus on drinking water, sanitation, hygiene and public health.
Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan will inaugurate the 9th India International Water Week 2026 on September 22.
The event will run from September 22-26 at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi under the theme “Climate Resilient Water Management.”
Policymakers, water experts, researchers, industry representatives, civil society groups and young professionals will participate.
The Netherlands and Germany are partner countries, while 14 Indian states and six Central Ministries and Departments have been invited as partners.
A water-technology exhibition and the Second International WASH Conference will run alongside the main event.
