Srijit Mukherji's 'Maharaja Tomare Selam' Chronicles Making of Ray Classic
A famous Indian filmmaker named Srijit Mukherji is making a brand new movie.
His movie will tell the true story behind another very famous movie called 'Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne.'
That classic movie was made long ago, in 1969, by the legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray.
It is about two friends, Goopy who loves to sing and Bagha who plays the drums, who get magical powers from the King of Ghosts.
The new film will show the hard work and challenges that went into making the 1969 movie.
It will also show what life was like in Kolkata during the 1960s.
Many actors, including Jeetu Kamal and Ritwik Bhowmik, will star in the new movie.
People can see the first poster of the movie soon at a cinema hall called Priya Cinema.
The story of the old classic came from an idea by Satyajit Ray's grandfather.
Srijit Mukherji announced 'Maharaja Tomare Selam,' a film on the making of Satyajit Ray's 1969 classic 'Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne.'
The film will explore how the classic was conceived, created and released amid the turbulent social and political climate of 1960s Kolkata.

The first-look poster will be unveiled on Sunday at Priya Cinema in Kolkata in the presence of the cast and crew.
