India Records 696 Deals Worth $36.9 Billion in Q3
India saw many kinds of business deals during the third quarter of 2026.
Altogether, 696 deals were worth $36.9 billion.
If IPOs and QIPs are left out, there were 608 mergers, acquisitions and private-equity deals.
There were more of these deals than in the previous quarter, but their combined value was lower.
Companies also raised a record $9 billion through 60 IPOs.
Another 28 public share offerings called QIPs raised $4.8 billion.
Investment coming into India grew strongly, while investment going out of India slowed compared with the previous quarter.

Excluding IPOs and QIPs, 608 M&A and PE deals were worth $23.1 billion; volumes rose 8% quarter-on-quarter while values fell 36%.
M&A included 255 transactions worth $13.2 billion, with five billion-dollar deals totaling $7.9 billion.
Inbound deal value rose 2.6 times quarter-on-quarter to $4.2 billion, while outbound deal value fell 74% to $6.1 billion.
Sixty IPOs raised $9 billion, the highest quarterly IPO fundraising on record; 28 QIPs raised $4.8 billion.
