Empire State Building Ignites in Indian Tri-Colour for Independence Day
A big, famous building in New York City called the Empire State Building glowed in the colours of India's flag for a special celebration.
The tower shone green, white and orange in the night sky.
This happened on Saturday, August 15, to mark India's Independence Day.
The event was organised with a group called the Federation of Indian Associations.
Its theme was 'Harmony in Heritage,' which is about different cultures and communities coming together.
Actors from a popular Indian TV show called Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah came to the ceremony and flipped the big switch that turns on the colourful lights.
Another actor, Adivi Sesh, joined them at the landmark.
After the lights were lit, the group went up to the top of the building to enjoy the view of New York.
It was a joyful evening that brought Indian culture and the Indian American community together in the heart of New York City.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah cast members Asit Kumarr Modi, Dilip Joshi, Mandar Chandwadkar and Sonalika Joshi attended the ceremony and flipped the light switch.
Actor Adivi Sesh also took part in the celebration at the landmark.
The group later visited the Empire State Building's Observation Deck Experience and posed for photos from the 86th Floor Observation Deck.
