Central Railway Adds 418 Special Trains for Diwali-Chhath Travel
Central Railway is adding 418 special train services for the 2026 festive season.
These trains are meant to give people more travel choices during Puja, Diwali and Chhath.
Some trains will run between Mumbai and Gorakhpur, Chennai Beach, Bengaluru or Latur.
The Mumbai–Gorakhpur service will run daily for part of October and November.
Other services will run weekly or twice a week.
Tickets for some trains can be booked from September 27.
People can book at railway reservation centres, on the IRCTC website or through the RailOne app.
They should check the latest timings before starting their journey.
