Villagers in Madhya Pradesh say a 14-year-old girl was allegedly taken by three men.

Her father said the men stopped their bus journey and forced the girl away.

He also said they attacked and threatened him.

The father claimed one of the men had taken his daughter before.

He said he had withdrawn the earlier complaint because of tribal customs and fear.

He further alleged that a police officer asked for Rs 50,000 but did not file a case.

Villagers gave a written complaint to a senior police official.

They said they may protest outside the police station if action is not taken quickly.
