Some leaders from a state in India called Mizoram went to the capital city, New Delhi.

They wanted to talk to a government minister about an important law.

The law is about three councils in southern Mizoram named Lai, Mara and Chakma.

These councils help govern local areas, and the law has been waiting to be passed for a long time.

The leaders asked the minister to hurry up and get the law passed.

They also asked for money to help families whose homes were damaged in landslides.

The landslides happened in a town called Lawngtlai in May 2025.

The minister, Nityanand Rai, promised to help.

He said another minister, Amit Shah, is already working on the law.
