VesacIndia Launches Urban Forest Intelligence Pilot to Study Tree-Fall Risks

Trees in cities can sometimes fall down during heavy rains, and that can be dangerous.

A group called VesacIndia wants to help stop that from happening.

They are starting a special study in two places in India, Thane and Navi Mumbai.

In the study, people will look closely at ten trees to understand how healthy they are.

They will check the tree's branches, trunk, roots and the ground around it.

They will also see how roads, buildings and wires near the tree affect it.

Computers with artificial intelligence will help sort the information and find patterns.

But people with knowledge about trees will still make the final decisions.

The goal is to spot warning signs before a tree falls.

This way, people can be safer during the rainy season.
