Delhi Police crack 27-year-old revenge plot behind fatal accidents
A man named Deepak was hurt in a car accident, and two weeks later he was hit again and sadly died.
Police thought something was wrong because there were many tyre marks, as if the car had been driven over him again and again.
They found it was not just an accident but a planned revenge.
The trouble began 27 years ago when Deepak supposedly upset another man's sister.
A fight happened back then, but the anger lasted for many years.
The other man, Pawan, and his friend Sagar decided to get revenge.
They tried to hurt Deepak once in July, and the second time the plan worked.
Police arrested five people who helped with the plan.
The main person hid in many places but was finally caught.
Deepak Dabas, 46, a resident of Majra Dabas, was hit by a Hyundai i10 near Prem Pyau Road on July 2 and survived with injuries.
On July 16, he was hit again by a Scorpio near Chandpur Majra Road and died; his damaged scooter was found about 100 meters away.
Multiple tyre marks on his chest and legs led police to suspect the Scorpio had been deliberately driven over him repeatedly.
Police arrested five people, including main conspirator Pawan alias Jagpal Dabas, Sagar Kala, Atul alias Monty, Sahil and Prince alias Tilli.
Police say the killing was revenge for a 27-year-old village rivalry sparked by Deepak allegedly misbehaving with Pawan's sister; the plot reportedly began in February.
