Karnataka is checking its voter list against an older list from 2002.

Nandan Nilekani, his wife Rohini, and their children could not be matched to that older list.

This caused them to be marked as “Unmapped with last SIR.”

They are registered to vote in Bengaluru’s BTM Layout constituency.

They must show one of 11 approved documents so their names can remain on the final voter list.

Reports differ on whether their notices were expected or had already been issued.

Nikhil Kamath and actor Shivarajkumar were also flagged.

Shivarajkumar completed his verification at home, while the final voter list is scheduled for October 27.
