Uttar Pradesh Child Helpline Resolves 18,123 Missing-Child Cases
Uttar Pradesh has a phone service called the Child Helpline that helps children and families.
People reported about 20,500 cases involving children who were missing.
The helpline says it resolved 18,123 of those cases in seven months.
It also received many other reports about children needing help.
From January 1 to August 1, 2026, there were 58,293 child-related cases.
Officials said 50,589 of these cases were resolved.
When children are found, officials work to return them safely to their families.
Some children may also receive counselling or rehabilitation support.
About 20,500 missing-child cases were reported to Uttar Pradesh’s Child Helpline in seven months.

Of all child-related cases, 50,589 were resolved, including 8,419 of 9,146 cases involving children who were found.
