Researcher Claims Great Pyramid Holds Hidden Astronomical Mathematical Code
Great pyramid found with Mathematical 'code' may be linked to Moon and Stars, researcher claims · wionews.com

A researcher says the Great Pyramid may contain a hidden mathematical code.

He studied its height, base and sloping sides using fractions connected to ancient Egyptian mathematics.

He says one calculation produced 27.5, a number close to the Moon’s 27.55-day cycle between closest approaches to Earth.

Another calculation produced 70, which he connects to the time Sirius is hidden by sunlight.

He also sees possible links to planets, pi and the golden ratio.

The researcher compared the results with 100,000 computer-made pyramid models.

About 2.4 percent of those models showed similar patterns.

He thinks this could suggest careful design, but it does not prove the Egyptians intended to create a code.

The research has not been peer-reviewed or accepted as established archaeological evidence.

Key facts

Researcher
Sefy Levy
Monument
The Great Pyramid of Giza
Proposed lunar link
The calculated value 27.5, compared by Levy with the 27.55-day interval between successive lunar perigees
Proposed Sirius link
The calculated value 70, linked by Levy to Sirius’s approximate 70-day period of invisibility caused by sunlight
Computer comparison
100,000 computer-generated pyramid models
Similar patterns
About 2.4 percent of the models showed similar patterns
Evidence status
The paper has not been peer-reviewed, and mainstream Egyptologists have not established the claims as archaeological evidence
