Construction Banned at Night in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack
The government has banned all construction work in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack from 6 pm to 10 am to reduce air pollution.
This includes both private and government projects.
The National Highways Authority of India and the State Works Department have been informed.
The Bhubaneswar Development Authority and the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation are also taking steps to control air pollution.
Builders must transport materials with proper covering and sprinkle water at their sites.
If anyone violates these rules, their building plans will be suspended.
The air quality in Bhubaneswar is currently very poor.
Earlier, similar restrictions were imposed in Talcher and Balasore towns.
On January 1, flights at Biju Patnaik International Airport were disrupted due to dense fog, with five flights diverted to Kolkata and Raipur.
