Odisha Pushes for New City in Bhubaneswar
The Odisha government is working with a Singaporean company to quickly finish plans for a new city near Bhubaneswar.
This new city will be built on 800 acres of land.
The government and the company had a meeting to discuss how to make this plan.
They want to make sure the new city is well-designed and ready for the future.

Odisha government is expediting the master plan for a new city near Bhubaneswar in collaboration with Surbana Jurong Infrastructure PTE Limited.
The new city will cover 800 acres in Gothapatna, Malipada, and Daspur, approved by the State Cabinet on September 10, 2023.
A virtual meeting was held on June 8, 2024, to finalize the draft scope of services for the master plan.
Surbana Jurong will projectize the master plan, identify priority projects, and provide technical support for Detailed Project Reports (DPRs).
The plan includes a comprehensive Urban Design Framework and Guidelines for spatial and development structure.
