Hanumakonda Collector pushes higher milk production and Vijaya Dairy revival
A leader in a place called Hanumakonda wants to help cows give more milk.
Her name is Chahat Bajpai, and she is the district's Collector.
She visited Vijaya Dairy, where milk is collected and turned into products.
Right now, the dairy gets about 6,000 litres of milk every day.
She wants it to collect 15,000 litres each day.
The milk comes from 26 groups called societies.
She wants farmers to learn better ways to care for their cows.
That means good food, better breeds, and visits from animal doctors.
The dairy can make things like milk, ghee, and paneer to sell.
This extra work can help farmers earn more money.
Hanumakonda District Collector Chahat Bajpai set a target of collecting 15,000 litres of milk per day for Vijaya Dairy.
Bajpai visited Vijaya Dairy and inspected its milk collection centre, cooling units, testing laboratory and manufacturing facilities.
Deputy Director Dhanraj said the dairy currently processes around 6,000 litres daily, collected through 26 societies.
Officials were directed to link the Animal Husbandry Department with Vijaya Dairy and educate farmers on modern cattle-rearing, quality breeds, nutrition and veterinary services.
An action plan will be prepared to strengthen the dairy and expand production of milk, ghee, paneer and other products.
