TGSPDCL Plans Substation Under Flyover
The Telangana State Power Development Corporation Limited (TGSPDCL) is planning to build a new power substation under a flyover in Musheerabad, Hyderabad.
This is to help with the power supply in the area and save space.
The substation will have two big transformers and will be controlled remotely.
It will get power from two different places to make sure the supply is always available.
The project is part of a bigger plan to improve power infrastructure in busy city areas.
The substation is expected to cost around ₹10-12 crore and will be a model for future projects if it works well.
TGSPDCL plans to set up an indoor 33/11 kV substation under the Musheerabad flyover to address land constraints.
The substation will house two 8 MVA transformers and eight 11 kV feeders, with four to be commissioned initially.
The project aims to ease the load on five existing substations and improve power supply in nearby localities.
The substation will have dual connectivity for supply security, with primary and alternate feeds from different substations.
The facility will be unmanned, remotely monitored, and designed as a model indoor substation with emphasis on safety and future load requirements.
