Court Notice to Salman Khan's Being Human in Franchise Dispute
A court in the Indian city of Chandigarh is looking into a complaint about a jewellery store.
A businessman named Arun Gupta says he gave almost 3 crore rupees, which is a very large amount of money, to open a jewellery shop.
The shop was supposed to sell jewellery from Being Human, a brand linked to famous movie star Salman Khan.
Gupta says he was told the shop would make good money and that he would get help running it.
He says the help never came and deliveries of jewellery were not regular.
The supply outlet for the shop has been closed since February 2020.
Gupta also says he expected Salman Khan himself to come for the store's opening, but another actor came instead.
Now the court has sent a notice to Being Human, Salman Khan's sister Alvira Agnihotri, and others to explain what happened.
The next step in the case is scheduled for October 5, 2026.
Salman Khan has not said anything about the case yet.
