Aaji Care Opens Pune Centre for Dignified Elder Care
Aaji Care has opened a new place in Pune where older people can live and receive care.
It is the organisation’s biggest centre so far, with room for 49 people.
Some areas are designed for people with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.
Other areas help people who need medical support, rehabilitation or assistance with daily activities.
The centre also has spaces for exercise, brain activities, hobbies and spending time with others.
Doctors, nurses, caregivers, psychologists and physiotherapists will work together there.
Aaji Care says older people should receive care while keeping their dignity, choices and independence.
The centre will begin accepting residents on September 10, 2026.
Aaji Care inaugurated its sixth Assisted Living Centre and second Pune facility at Kalyani Nagar on August 30.
The seven-storey centre has 49 beds, including dedicated spaces for dementia, high-dependency care, rehabilitation and assisted living.
The facility includes physiotherapy and activity areas supporting mobility, cognitive stimulation, socialisation and emotional wellbeing.
Padma Shri Dr. Prakash Amte and Dr. Mandakini Amte inaugurated the centre alongside Dr. Vitthal Kamat and Achyut Godbole.
The centre, which will accept admissions from September 10, 2026, is part of Aaji Care’s wider elder-care services across Mumbai, Pune and Goa.

Quotes
Prasad Bhide
Founder of Aaji Care
“Ageing gracefully is not just about providing good medical care and good infrastructure. It is equally about helping elders maintain their independence and dignity, giving them companionship, keeping them meaningfully engaged and, most importantly, surrounding them with a lot of love. An elder may need assistance, but that should never take away their individuality or their right to make choices about their own life.”

“We don't want to simply add beds; we want to add better days to the lives of our elders and help them age gracefully.”
