CJP Supporter's Father Killed in Bankura; Eight Arrested

A man's father was hurt very badly by some attackers.

The man, Sheikh Abdul Hafiz, works for a small political group called the Cockroach Janta Party.

This happened in a place called Bankura in West Bengal, India.

Earlier that day, Hafiz had gone to a local primary school to check how the school was doing.

That night, unknown people came with sticks and iron rods and attacked both Hafiz and his father.

Hafiz was able to run away, but his father was badly hurt.

His father was taken to a hospital called Burdwan Medical College, but his injuries were too serious and he died.

The police have arrested eight people for the attack.

Hafiz's mother has asked that the attackers be strictly punished.

Hafiz's group says another political party, the BJP, is responsible, but the police say the attackers were unknown.
