Karishunda residents backed the demand, saying funds should go to modern public schools instead of payouts.
CJP spokesperson Asutosh Rank called for a nationwide movement for education reform and accused the Karishunda Primary School headmaster of being in league with the assailants.
Police have arrested eight people, while the CJP demands the arrest of 10 remaining unnamed accused and scrutiny of Indas PS officials.
