Mini-bus carrying Tiranga Yatra participants overturns in Jammu, 28 injured

A group of young women in Jammu, India, were riding in a small bus after taking part in a special event called the Tiranga Yatra.

On Sunday night, the bus tipped over on a bridge, and 28 of the women got hurt.

The women were between 18 and 25 years old.

They were part of a program called Nari Veerangana, which teaches women about traditional and cultural values and encourages them to serve society.

Before the event, they had trained for almost three months.

After the program, the group had dinner and was heading home when the accident happened.

The injured women were taken to a hospital called Government Medical College.

A leader named Yudhvir Sethi visited them at the hospital.

Most of the women were doing fine and were expected to go home the next morning.

Two women needed a little more care, but doctors said no one's injuries were life-threatening.
