8th Pay Commission May Reshape Salaries Beyond Fitment Factor
The 8th Pay Commission is studying how much central government employees and pensioners should be paid.
It will hold meetings in Jaipur on 31 August and 1 September.

The earlier 7th Pay Commission changed the way salaries were organized by creating a Pay Matrix.

The new commission may change several parts of pay, not just the fitment factor.
