India Reports Steady Rise in Coal Loading for Power Sector
Coal is being sent to India’s power plants in more train loads.
The number of daily coal train loads rose from 370 to 444 between September 3 and September 6.
The government said this shows a steady improvement in supplies.

Loading increased by 31 rakes on September 6 alone, according to the Ministry of Coal.
Higher supplies came from Coal India Limited, its subsidiaries, Singareni Collieries Company Limited and captive mines.
Mahanadi Coalfields Limited recorded the largest daily increase, reaching 111 rakes per day.
Thermal plants with coal stocks below 25% of their normative requirement are being closely monitored.
