IIM Calcutta-Army Institute of Management MoU to Strengthen Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Bengal · telegraphindia.com

IIM Calcutta Innovation Park and Army Institute of Management Kolkata have agreed to work together.

Their goal is to help more people create new businesses in West Bengal.

They signed this agreement on September 8, 2026.

They want to build a stronger support system for startups and inventors.

A special Maker Bhavan may be created at the Army Institute campus if the Department of Science and Technology approves it.

The facility could have a laboratory, shared work areas and meeting rooms.

Students and new entrepreneurs may receive mentoring, training and opportunities to meet companies and investors.

The two institutions will also search for promising startup ideas and help develop them.

The partnership is intended to help students become creators of businesses, not only managers of existing companies.
