Kolkata Har Ghar Tiranga rally to bring traffic diversions Monday
On Monday, some important roads in Kolkata will be very busy.
A large group of people will walk together while carrying the Indian national flag.
This is called the Har Ghar Tiranga rally.
The chief minister, Suvendu Adhikari, will probably lead the walk.
About 25,000 people might join in.
They will start near Netaji's statue on Mayo Road at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
They will walk all the way to the Victoria Memorial.
To keep the walkers safe, cars and other vehicles will not be allowed on some roads for a while.
People who drive will need to use other routes.
The rally is part of a special campaign to help everyone feel proud of their country.
Chief minister Suvendu Adhikari is expected to lead the Har Ghar Tiranga rally in Kolkata on Monday, August 10.
The march starts at 3pm from Netaji's statue on Mayo Road and ends at the Victoria Memorial.
Around 25,000 people are expected to participate in the event organised by the state government.
Traffic restrictions are expected on Mayo Road, Red Road, Strand Road, JL Nehru Road, Cathedral Road, Queen's Way and adjoining roads.
The rally is part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign observed from August 9 to 17 to promote patriotism, strengthen national unity and encourage citizens to display the national flag.
